I solve a big problem i have had with this garage door being too small. Because garage doors are usually sized to snugly fit the dimensions of the garage itself making the door larger usually means making the garage larger. It should be obvious that you don t use twice the thickness for the height since you will not be putting anything on the floor but you have been reminded. Begin by using a tape measure to determine the width and height of the door opening in inches.

This lumber will be used to attach your garage door track and a portion of your assembly.

I removed some siding and and re did the trim on the top of the door and then recovered every thing with aluminum and installed new rubber garage door sill around the opening.
