Make Ironing Mat

So i decided to make an ironing mat which turns my table into a big ironing board.

Such a good idea. You can make you diy ironing pad any size you want mine is about 35 square you will want to layer your insul bright between two layers of fabric. It can be more than that but it needs to be at least that minimum. You will use the opening to flip your ironing pad right side out so that the fleece and decorative fabrics are sandwiching the insul bright and the magnets.

This is such a nice idea and i love the spotty fabric. When not in use simply roll up the mat and tie it for easy storage. The top fabric should be the same size as the batting and the bottom fabric should extend at least 1 5 out from the batting. Customizing the mat to meet your pressing or ironing needs will be a great benefit to you and make ironing easier on your body.

I finally decided i was going to make my own ironing pad because it s just not practical to have a large permanent table taking up space in my house. An ironing mat is a great addition to a sewing or craft space and is sometimes more convenient than an ironing board. My ironing board simply isn t big enough and it would be a pain to keep moving everything around. One of the sizes you can buy measures about 17 by17 inches and you can get it in 1 2 inch thicknesses.
